Don’t miss out – the first hALL IN Day is slated for Friday, Nov. 20, when the public can pick up free decals and gift bags (while supplies last), all in an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19 in Gainesville-Hall County.
“We’re excited to hold our first hALL IN Day and encourage the community to be proactive in the fight against COVID-19,” said Rob Fowler, volunteer leader of the COVID-19 Community Leadership Coalition. “Our hope is this event will help keep fresh in people’s minds how crucial it is to wear masks, social distance and wash their hands, especially around the holidays when friends and families come together to celebrate. It’s important now more than ever that we heed the advice of medical professionals and COVID-19 experts to ensure the number of cases remains controlled and trending downward.”
Since the hALL IN campaign launched in early October, around 270 pledges representing dozens of businesses and organizations have signed up in support of the initiative.
To drive the hALL IN effort forward and spread awareness before the holidays, new and existing pledges may stop by any of the following locations from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Nov. 20 to pick up a decal for their business/organization or personal use, plus a free gift bag with goodies donated by local municipalities, businesses and organizations:
• Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce reception desk, located at 230 E.E. Butler Parkway, Gainesville;
• Gainesville Visitor Center, located at 300 Henry Ward Way, Suite 100 (first floor), Gainesville;
• Hall County Government Center reception desk (first floor lobby), located at 2875 Browns Bridge Road, Gainesville.
After you pick up your free hALL IN decal, post a picture of it in your window on social media with the hashtag #wearehALLin. An official hALL IN Facebook page has been created (@wearehALLin), as well as an Instagram page (@wearehALLin). “Like” and/or follow hALL IN on these social networking sites for timely updates regarding COVID-19 prevention efforts in the community, plus friendly reminders about official directives to ensure you're hALL IN ... hALL the time.
